Hello All,
I'm surprised to see that Birmingham airport is still at 3ฐC @ 18.50 and Shawbury at 2ฐC @ 19.00. When in my area of Wolverhampton it's been at 0ฐC since 18.00. The roads and pavements have glazed over, and it's tricky walking let alone driving. I don't know if it as anything to do with that I'm on one of the highest hills in my local area, at about 170m, and that I'm on the very edge of the city, I only have to walk about 100 yds from my home and I'm in the Staffordshire countryside. We've had light rain most of the day, but the sky has now cleared - temp +1.5C and falling. Paul Troon -- Paul |

Black ice on all untreated surfaces this evening and freezing rain on some surfaces today. Temp at -1บC.

Hmm, sounds like my old home in Penn. Anywhere near? In weather terms, I did take some photos of mammatus cloud there, but that was many unmarked boxes of slides ago :-( Mike |
