Here in downtown Woodford Green ,suburban Essex,we clocked up 8.9mm during a
dawn thunderstorm. There was further thunder late am in a further passing
shower .
The thunder was long roaring sound that seemed to cross the sky in a wave
,like a passing train,a bit peculiar.......(could have been next door
emptying their bath)

Well I guess I didn't realise there was some pretty active weather
observing going on right near me in Woodford Green!

I guess this is quite an old thread but I am so surprised to bump
info a fellow WG-er that I feel ought to post!

BTW have you heard about the plan to sell off the library land and
try to redevelop the old building near the tube with the money?
They are currently (Sept 2005) discussing it in this Yahoo Group.
http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/woodfordgreenresidents or
http://tinyurl.com/dbur9.

Take care.
