Should expand. Very little rain but almost constant thunder - as if it it
bouncing around up there. No lightning seen - just lots and lots of thunder.
Sky very dark, especially in direction of Dereham.

I am staying mid July at the Fisherman's Retreat (or is it Return) at
Winterton-on-Sea. Do you happen to know of any aerials etc of the
beach up there? I am just having a few quiet days in Norfolk and just
expect to amble along the coast etc. The Explorer map suggests it is
pretty remote!
Cheers Robin

Winterton is lovely in good weather. Extensive dunes which form the basis of
many a student project, be they schollkids or university level. There's some
nice walks inland too, on the Broads. There's seven mile circuit round the
Bure I did years ago. There's also a nine-mile walk based on part of
Weavers' Way & Breydon Water not a million miles from Winterton (if you get
to start by car). Both from OS book "Norfolk & Suffolk Walks: Pathfinder
Guide" which I've had for years.
