Hi,

I've noticed that since the new graphics came out there are a lot of new
dollybird weather presenters on News 24, and less of the familiar faces. Is
this because many of the experienced guys have been weeded out perhaps for
not towing the line?

Simon

Dunno, guess it's all part and parcel of the BBC dumbing down :-(

I notice that the satellite images have been pulled completely on the BBC web
site today. No information, just a blank page. Let's hope that they are finally
going to do something about the mis-alignment.

Will.

I hope so as well. Don't know if anyone has looked at the temperature
maps, as it was my first time after you posted. With a scale for the UK
going from -30C to 36C for summer!! I find the colour scale impossible to
read. I think we are yellow, but not sure which one:-)

If anyone from the BBC is reading this maybe you'd note -30C is a trifle
cool for a UK summer.

Funny that, as I'd remarked on another occasion recently that they now have
a 12-year-old schoolboy doing the forecast... John Hammond I think

Perhaps it's a male thing to notice the girlies and a female thing to notice
the wee boys ;-)

Are you a tom or lady cat ?,if the latter I shall refrain from stating the
obvious....
Apart from the unbelievable desperate Dan,I think most of the new generation
of male Beeb presenters are very clear ,concise, and well turned out.
Obviously if you prefer the older man Bill Giles could probably be
unpickled.....

It's even cold for a UK winter... I've not looked at the temp polts
recently but I felt the same, too many colour bands of similar shade.

Incidentally, is John Hammond related to Richard Hammond from Top Gear?
They bear a slight resemblance.

Don't know. Gave up watching TG when Clarkson took over. He is... well... I
have an urge to commit GBH ;-)

Because he makes highly relevant and interesting points while using humour
to get them across? He also has a lot of self depreciating humour. I
really do not for the life of me understand what some people have against
him. Most I have found don't actually LISTEN to the points he's making. In
actual fact I normally feel a case of GBH coming on when people waffle on to
me how much they hate him! They are normally always completely irrational.
:-)
