Highest 09z barometer this year. 1200z NE F3 30km 1Cu035 7Cs350 13.8/04.4 1037.4 RMK: I'm half-guessing there's still an extremely tenuous veil of Ci or Cs - it's practically invisible to my eyes but sky is an unnaturally pale blue for a polar air-mass. Bar has stopped rising in response to the diurnal atmospheric tide but this may well be the highest in this part of the country in June since 1962. We do no real preparation for those pre-records ... I just scribble a few topics down, pass them down the line to the presenter, and then we just start talking. Philip Eden |
