I can't remember seeing Shawbury in that "UK max. temps" block before
:-)
Here in Shrewsbury it was fairly warm and sunny in the afternoon,
clouded over about 8pm when I thought it might thunder, but no it
remained cloudy, dry and warm and now at 11.30 it's still cloudy and
dry but warm .

Its the 'breeze' that takes the edge off the 'heat'. Without it
todays 13°C - together with the 85-90% RH - it would have been
opressively hot here on Fair Isle!!
