Some way to catch up temperature wise and sunshine wise.

http://www.climate-uk.com/graphs/200506.htm

Hopefully this next week or so will lead to some decent improvement.

Pus a sock in it Gavin.

Someone exile him to the subtropics for 6 months and he can have all the hot
weather he likes. Not everyone likes it, you know...

I do :-)

This can last until September as far as I'm concerned, although some
nice storms from time to time to keep the grass green please :-)

Mindyou, I don't suppose you get to much heat up in Hull Rob.?

The problem in this country is the heat is accompanied with humidity, if
you go to Spain 32°c is quite bearable.

That was uncalled for.

OK not everyone likes it, but some of us do so no need to turn into
Victor Meldrew as soon as the mercury touches 70F. If people really
hate it that much there are plenty of cold places they could "exile"
themselves to....

Personally I can't wait for the next heatwave, it's nearly 2 years
since we had a decent one :-) Please someone or something shift this
annoying cloud we've been stuck with the last 2 days.

Someone should exile *you* to where you can learn some manners.

Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean that people who *do*
(like me) shouldn't welcome it when it comes.
We all have our weather preferences and it seems pretty bitchy
and petty minded to complain when somebody looks forward to
something you don't personally like.

IIRC, you don't like snow. Would you like it if everytime in mild winter
conditions, and you said you liked it, people told you to 'put a sock
in it'?

The month has been quite decent so far in these parts (Hampshire) with
8 days of predominantly good weather from the 7th to the 14th. If the
week long fine spell materialises (as opposed to a week long cloudy,
warm, humid spell...) this will probably have been the joint best June
(with 2003) since 1996 down here.

Exactly what I feel- I am not too far from the coast so it is possible
to get to a cooling sea breeze if humidity becomes unbearable.

I never swore, called his parentage into question etc. so Edmund, whats
your beef. Free speech you know. Ok you like the heat, I don't enjoy the
fun of avoiding heat-stroke, etc. I was badly ill with it as a child, and
I've no desire to see that again...

Medium rare with Yorkshire pud and horseradish, if you're offering :-)
And a pint of real ale, say Theakstons.

I never said you swore, but thought "put a sock in it" was over the
top.
Free speech, yes all the way please. You don't like heat, I do- fine, I
respect your opinion and have no problem with that.
