Any reports, Graham ? From satellite imagery it looks like an area of Ac
Cast has developed in the pre-frontal plume. 11Z Brest ascent is highly unstable - http://weather.uwyo.edu/cgi-bin/soun...110&STNN=Brest and 11Z Watnall showed a similar loaded gun scenario - http://weather.uwyo.edu/cgi-bin/soun... am%2FWatnall Joe |

Anaprop (anomalous propagation) is the name given to false radar returns, I suppose it could be used for false sferics ?? Joe |

Camborne is showing a similar loaded gun and there's plenty CAPE and a
cap starting to become apparent at Nottingham. http://62.202.7.134/hpbo/sounding_europe.aspx http://62.202.7.134/img/skewt_03808.gif Les Joe Hunt wrote: Any reports, Graham ? There is a narrow band of Ac well to the west. It is very hazy now.
Interestingly the wind is quite gusty (vitually calm for a while then gusts to 20mph) and the sea is very lumpy, often a sign of an approaching thundery trough. 24.2 Max here today, with an onshore wind. Graham Some very attractive Ac castellanus overhead now. Wind has died down and visibility improved as well. Completely clear again to the west. Graham |
