Default Today's max.

It begins to look as though today's max here will be 31.7c as the
temperature has fallen back a little in the last half hour. This is the
highest June temperature here since 1996 when I noted 32.0c on 7 June . It
has also been the warmest day since 11 August 2003.
One weather curiosity this week is that I have not achieved a single
reading of 80f ( 26.7) or more on 21 June ( the longest day) in any year
since before 1970 and 22 and 23 June would have suffered the same fate
except that the 1976 heatwave started on 22 June.

Today's max in Leeds was 31.4C, but with a nice breeze for most of the
day,and in the last 20 minutes it has been really gusty with thunder and
lightening; no rain yet though.
Certainly the warmest day of the year.

Similar here in Romsey. Today's peak of 29.2C is our
highest max on any day since 11 August 2003, and the
highest June max since 1995 (30th).
