Default Countryfile ?

Funny how no-one talks about it anymore!

As Joe has already mentioned, looking at the UKMO progs this evening- its
looking quite an unsettled week with some rainfall expected everyday from
Tue!
Fridays chart looks quite Autumnal - is it too early to say that?

Phil, what mainly puts me off watching the Countryfile forecast is the
unpredictable time at which it is broadcast. So often I have switched on at
11.45 or 50 and suffered a programme which I do not want to watch only to
realise that the forecast was broadcast earlier, if at all. The News24
slots are rather more predictable, are not very dissimilar in scope and I do
not have to waste as much time waiting for them to come on (and please do
not comment that I should not waste my time watching BBC weather anyway - I
know the arguments for and against).

Regards, Roger

I actually watched the forecast today and was pleased to see the use of
Isobars and Fronts. Still a long way to go yet, but at least it's a start.

It does look like a progressively unsettled week, although temperatures
fairly warm and muggy at times. I think next weekends charts may not
look quite like the projections, we shall see.

I still find the map of Scotland is slanted too far away from the
viewer, and on the MGR when they get to Scotland you can see the
curvature of the earth and blue outer space !

In fact I rather watch ITV national weather, at least I get to see some
dolly birds !

I saw Countryfile. The graphics were pretty and the forecast cap. O/A =
pretty crap. Interesting item about the Australian drought. Mid-winter
there. The wet?

For Scotland maybe not, but for England\Wales, yes, too early to say.
IMHO, the Azores High is being downplayed and I think it will be further
North, and the Low much less significant.

That's why I tape Countryfile right through, just in case.

Comparison here http://www.metbrief.com/t+120vasxx.html

Pressure higher in the vicinity of the UK and to the west but otherwise a
reasonably good effort at that range.

Jon.
