Not sure if this is a new facility (on this site) or it's been hidden,
but the following looks quite useful:

http://www2.wetter3.de/Archiv/archiv_dwd.html

Archive at *6* hourly intervals, with plotted obs, since 3rd December,
2003.

You can also step forward/back, either at default 6-hour steps, or by
selecting '1 Tages- Schritt', in daily time-steps.

Martin.

Thanks, Martin. I'm sure that particular archive is new - and very useful
it will be at 6 hourly intervals.

Good stuff, Martin. Also on the same site the following provides a lot
of useful stuff from the GFS model, with runs every 6 hours

That looks quite useful, but doesn't go back nearly far
enough. Does anyone know if an archive of the old DWR can be obtained
online, or does it mean trips to Exeter and bring your own photocopier.

Tudor, if it's merely the odd one, just ask ... there are
2 or 3 of us around here who have reasonably good runs
of the DWR and a scanner (though mine will only do A4).

We are going to need German lessons on this site.

How many offices are they closing I wonder?

One small grate; the first site is a little too big. The map fills the
screen at the right settings (F11) the second one could be larger.
