You can purchase them from Skyview Systems at 01787 883138 or
www.skyview.co.uk. I have found it very useful for observing ground strikes though it did not register all high cloud -cloud Sferics. It is compact and I carry mine everywhere. There are problems if you use it whilst in the car as it is affected by car electric's and certain household apparatus but overall it has proved useful in both distance and frequency of strikes. I shall never forget it registering a ground stroke at a distance of about 30 miles whilst I was at an engagement last October in Camberley,Surrey. When I arrived home I was told there had been a remarkable peal of thunder and next morning I saw the damage to a property and destruction of a large tree about 500 metres from where I live. We featured it in Weather eye magazine. One was given as a prize in Weather eye and the person who received it is very pleased with its performance.
