Default [WR] Haytor heat 11/7/05

This is getting ridiculous.

After a max. of 26.1 deg C on the 10th at 0800 today the temperature is already
a stifling 22.3 deg C after a min of 15.4 deg C.
Dewpoint is 16 deg C and the weather is sunny but hazy.

I thought I left all this horrible heat behind when I moved to Dartmoor :-)

Will.

I sympathise, Will. Max 22.4C yesterday, and already 19.4C at 0830 here,
and I expect my highest recorded temperature of 23.1C to be beaten
comfortably (perhaps that's an inappropriate word) today. At least it's
not too humid - dewpoint 3.7C and not a cloud in the sky.

We're just not used to this sort of heat any more

You've beaten me there! I recorded only 16.9C at 0800 this morning after an
overnight low of 15.9C.

I got 29.9C yesterday, suspect I may beat that today.

Currently at 09:00, 21.0C, RH 74%, DP 16.1C, 1031.8 mb (R), Wind NE 1.0 mph.

23.2 at 09:00 here.

Mind you, 1 day in August 2003, I forget the date, the temperature never
fell below 23 degrees at St. Mawgan, Newquay..

Will.

Temp not exceeded 20C here all day today with current temp at 17:53
a cool 17.8C with a stiff N.E breeze. Welcome break from the heat of
yesterday. Looks hot for the rest of the week if the cloud shrinks
back to the N Sea.

Where did you get such dry air from?

I don't know, Paul, perhaps a figment of my sensor's imagination? We
usually seem to have a higher RH reading than most other places. Is
there anywhere I can find some figures from yesterday to compare it with?

Currently reading 20.2C, DP 14.4C, 70% RH.
