i think theres even less than you here in Ealing West London dopwn the road,
showery bits so far and its 11.30am!
i expect a short spell of heavy rain then a rapid clearance I presume by 3pm
or even earlier - no?
are we the driest part of the country?
also whenever i travel thru the Chalfonts on the A40 towards london there
always seems a brighter slot around Denham -Uxbridge - its flatter ground
here - and even often sunny breaks appear here. Normally gets cloudier
further up from you, say more Amersham way. But then again thats the high
ground of the Chilterns proper I suppose.

RMK: Rain stopped about 15 minutes ago after being continuous
slight, occasionally moderate since before 0600z. Total for
the event
is 6.4 mm according to the Davis VP. The odd glimpse of the
sun now appearing. It was OK on the golf course today with
mostly
slight rain and just the odd moderate burst. Certainly
nowhere
near as bad as the forecasts were suggesting.
