Knightley writes Hi Dave and all, Well! That's probably the most replies to one of my posts ever!!! Apologies if I wasn't clear...I personally had thought, for some reason, that Gravesend was not official...I thought it was a rooftop site, but after asking a few questions, found out it wasn't! It wasn't a TORRO or Met Office investigation, just a personal one!! Sorry if I caused any misunderstanding! What is the definition of an "official" site? Jon and all,
The confusion arose as Gravesend is an unusual split site, where the observations are taken from the rooftop. Hence, I'd got confused, thinking that the temperatures were also taken from the rooftop, as at say, London, which would have made it non-standard. I now realise that this is not the case...perfectly simple, really! cheers, PaulK. "Jon O'Rourke" wrote in message ... "Paul Knightley" wrote in message om... Hi all, After an investigation, we've come to the conclusion that Gravesend is an official site, I'm puzzled by this statement Paul as others appear to be. Gravesend is an official Met Office climatoligical station http://www.metoffice.com/climate/uk/.../climnet2.html Why was "an investigation" needed and who exactly performed it ? Cheers, Jon. |
