I looked up Shoeburyness, which just shows how local that heavy rain
was, 23.4mm todays total for me and I'm about 7 miles to the NW of
Shoeburyness.

Yet again I miss out - not even 1/4" rain for the two days combined.

I only got 15mm 10 miles to your west.
