Unusual observation?
Branston south of Lincoln. Stood in the back garden watching the couds
about 20 mins ago, and noting lots of heavy stuff headed in from the south / southwest, when I noticed a lot of low thin cloud coming in from due east, at very high speed ( I estimate 80 - 100 mph ). Calm at surface level throughout, and noticeably misty - this seems to have thickened slightly over the last 10 mins or so. No noticeably rotation in any clouds so far.
