Hi

Daft question I know but, I am having a blonde moment. Is the pressure
quoted, lets say, in the East Midlands Airports METAR info sea level
pressure or pressure corrected for altitude.

.... it's mean sea level pressure, corrected for altitude (i.e. the 'as
read' barometer reading is corrected by adding pressure for the slice of
atmosphere from the airfield threshold to msl - or if you are below sea
level, then taking a bit off), but the correction is done using the
International Standard Atmosphere, not the 'real' atmosphere ...
