Default Messy charts

The sypnotic charts over the past few days I find extremely hard to come
to any conclusion whats happening with the weather atm. When someone
asks me whats happenig next week I just can't give a reply with any
confidence. Hence the 'Messy charts' subject.

Yes, the theme seems to be rather weak high pressure and cols.
Does this mean that the weather will be generally settled but with the
risk of a few showers?
The general wind drift seems to be from the N/NW so no heatwave
certainly. Low 20's here at the very best.

They have been a bit 'messy' but I think the overall signal for southern
parts is a period of relatively settled/quiet weather, e.g. dry with sunny
spells and gradually warming up. The 12Z NMM (GFS) meteogram for
Shoeburyness till 12Z on Tuesday looks reasonably consistent with the output
from the MetO GM and ECMWF
