Default A real mistral

Marseille at 1500Z had:

LFML 071500Z 36034KT CAVOK 27/11 Q1008 NOSIG

i.e. Wind North force 8 (just), no low cloud, temp 27, dewpoint 11.
Don't tell me it's a cold wind.
The best conditions for a Mistral are high pressure to the north
of the Alps and a NE'ly gradient. A straight northerly doesn't seem to
produce the required enhancement.

Tudor Hughes, Warlingham, Surrey.
