Excellent image of the southern UK and nearby Europe at 1230Z
yesterday. Many interesting features such as strange patterns in the North Sea fog/stratus, pre-frontal instability from the Severn Valley to the NE of England with what looks like an upstream dust plume and a dust/ smoke plume originating in Western Germany and crossing the N Dutch coast. http://rapidfire.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/r...23501.500m.jpg http://tinyurl.co.uk/26qw JG |

Dust plume over Germany comes from the " Ruhr-gebiet". Huge industrial area's with lots of polluting (chemical) industries. Wijke |
