Default It's been quite a month

In the information era, we get to find out about most things that happen
around the world -and usually fast. Who knows how many weather related
deaths per 1 million inhabitants occurred in, say, July-August 500 aD.

Budlia? A purple flowered bush that resembles lilac. Already well in
flower.

Or do you mean the large headed pink flower with many florets that seems
to weep, it is so rich in nectar?

Loads of he smallish brown moth that infests this part all year this
year.

We had a warm winter and a long spring with a cold snap that may have
hurt them in late March and April, IIRC.

Although your point is not valid. We don't know how many have been
killed in China and similarly badly run countries at any time for sure.

I wonder why the weather was so nice in my area for the last spell,
however it wasn't all roses for many:
