Apart from the infamous 'mini' tornados, I hate it when they say 'just
go to the coasts if you don't like hot weather' - yeah, like you can just do that at a moments notice, never mind your job, etc... -- Paul 'US Sitcom Fan' Hyett |

One of the things that annoys me is when they talk of "The Far North
West", pointing at somewhere about 5 miles from Liverpool.... I'd have to travel several hundred miles south to get to "the far north" |

Well I hate it when they say things such as "It won't be no heat wave"
when its winter, or something like "maybe your off to pick up your morning paper" or "maybe your having a picnic". The worste ones are when the local newsreaders give an editorial of their own. "Its going to be much warmer than of late" when its only 1C different. Are these feelings of hatred occasional, scattered or isolated?
Or maybe they only occur during a hangover, when your mouth is tinder dry? My remedy is to go into the cubicle in your bathroom during an electrical storm, and have a thundery shower. Or possibly a wintry shower, if you can arrange to have one between Dec 1st and Feb 28th/29th. |

Felly sgrifennodd Mark Carver :
..... "tomorrow will be less warm than today" That's cooler then ? I think you could make an argument for this one (not that I'd really want to try), since temperature is a measure of the amount of heat, not the amount of cold. Or something like that. Any pedants care to take over before I dig myself a hole? Adrian -- Adrian Shaw ais@ Adran Cyfrifiadureg, Prifysgol Cymru, aber. Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, Cymru ac. http://users.aber.ac.uk/ais uk |
