Does anyone here seriously believe that TV and radio weather presenters
control the time they need for the prevalent weather conditions?

I got the impression at least one poster does. It would explain the
amount of stick they get here sometimes.

It is my opinion they are not even given charge of where they make their
presentation from, let alone how much time their spot must take.

OT:

Anyone here remember The Black and White Minstrel Show? Can they explain
why the men had to wear that makeup. (And why the women wore so little.)

Perhaps it was because it was the contrast between black and white.
I've seen a clip recently, and it looks very dated now, even in the
1970's it was looking dated.
