Here is a summary of the latest NWP output for 12z on Tuesday. Issued 0553z,

all areas of the UK are likely to see rain at some stage during the first
half of next week.

The UK lies under light southerlies and easterlies due to a shallow low to
the south and a trough over Scotland. Winds become SW'lies for all at T+144

SW'lies for the UK. The low deepens at T+144, resulting in westerlies for
all.

GFS: http://217.160.75.104/pics/Rtavn1201.gif
SW'lies cover the UK due to a deep low to the NW. SW'lies and westerlies are
shown on the chart for T+144 as a trough crosses England, followed by light
SW'lies at T+168 as a trough covers the UK.

GEM: http://217.160.75.104/pics/Rgem1201.gif
The Canadian run also shows SW'lies with a low to the NW. The winds increase

ridges to the SW and SE. There's little change at T+144.

JMA: http://217.160.75.104/pics/Rjma1201.gif
The Japanese run also shows a low to the NW, this time bringing light
SW'lies. The winds become stronger westerlies at T+144 as a trough crosses
the UK.

NOGAPS: http://217.160.75.104/pics/Rngp1201.gif
Light winds cover the UK due to a col, followed by further light winds at
T+144 over England and Wales, from a ridge. Scotland and Northern Ireland
meanwhile lie under southerlies and SW'lies respectively.

KMA: http://www.kma.go.kr/kma03/gif/g21nh_smsr_120.gif
