Hi all,
I have just come across this superb UK WX info site. Aimed primarily at amateur aviation but there is a huge amount of current reports & forecasts on there. Well worth a look and browsing the wind speeds, temp, pressure etc. Just hover mouse over each WX station. http://www.xcweather.co.uk/ Pete |

But don't take the isobars seriously. They look as if they are the result of a somewhat rigid algorithm and can come up with absurdities. But as a countrywide view of the latest METAR's it is very good and I use it a lot. Tudor Hughes, Warlingham, Surrey. |

Yes, it's certainly a very useful site (tough if you're a Shetlander), but
there's one thing that intrigues me: sometimes the colours change where there appears to be no evidence for it. There's no example on today's UK map, but on today's French temperature map, what is the reason for that little green spot in northeast France? There are no obs there. This sort of thing frequently happens. Ian Bingham, Aberdeen. "Peter Ashby" wrote in message ... Hi all, I have just come across this superb UK WX info site.
