Default OT Scandisk ?

My memory lets me down everytime.

I'm finding my computer sometimes flashes into a blue screen (can never
read this) then reboots. I think it maybe a windows or disk error.
The first thing I want to try is Scandisk, which you run from DOS. How
do you get to this point? F8 comes up with Uguru screen etc, F2 seem to
not respond. A noddy guide would be appreciated.

Thanks

Right click on My Computer....properties... advanced... startup &
recovery. I'm running Windows 2003 but it's in the same place with XP.

To run a quick scandisk: start-run-cmd(enter).... chkdsk (enter) this
will tell you if your disk is goosed.

If the BSOD is meaningless to you then let us know what the error is....

I've put up a pic: http://llandru.servehttp.com/image1.jpg as a picture
says a thousand words!
