Things may have changed since I left the Office back in August but I believe
that the BBC site is only updated once daily (off the midday run) whilst the
MO site is updated out to day 5 off both main...

Comparing it against the Nimrod output I would guess that the blues are 1
mm, the greens 1 to 2 mm, the yellows 2 to 4 mm the oranges 4 to 8 mm.
The nimrod output has a few single pixel 8 to 16 mm...

Wishful thinking, and one could argue sensationalist. OK I might have to

Well both could be right. The Met Office only issue severe weather warning
(wind ones) for gusts of 70 mph or more. The beeb are going for gusts
possibly (they use the word may) up to 70 mph its...
