Why are these NE winds so mild?

I believe the automatic temps are for the mildest location and also taken
from the 850 temps, in a high pressure set up as of present will not allow
for the colder air below this.

70's) it always seemed to me it ended up colder than forecast, now a days it

Amazing that the grass is still growing at that temperature, but that can't
