Earliest annual maximum?

Interesting and thanks. I have some similar recollections of some poor
sixties summer holidays in Perranporth. Does anyone know the lowest recorded
annual maximum?

Earliest annual maximum?

I wonder what date is the earliest that the annual maximum temp has been
recorded. Today's must be in with a chance. Also 32C in early June must be
quite rare.

Heavy Rain Leeds unforecast

If you'd have watched BBC1 1330 weather
before Neighbours you'd have spotted it :-p

It seems the showers/rain are being prolonged, or even enhanced, due to
dynamic forcing aloft in the left...

Heavy Rain Leeds unforecast

Yes, I was about to post on this. it now seems to be moving S.E and
intensifying rather than NE as forecast. Will the BBC News 24 presenters
spot this. Not if the Bank Holiday forecast was anything...

Some pleasant freshening rain overnight following yesterday's surprising
high of 22.9C. All in all a fabulous Bank Holiday here.

Difficult weekend forecast

I'm thinking of moving to Cornwall as it always seems to be sunnier than
everywhere else and now drier than everywhere else as well!

[WR] Essex gloom

We have gone straight from LP gloom to HP gloom. It has been so dark today
that the PIR floodlight dusk light sensor for the back garden has stayed
active all day! We have managed a balmy (barmy?!)...

Great week ends weather - Penzance

" from a smug Graham E"
Mmm, does come across a bit like that when you live in perpetually drizzly,
dull, S.Essex - except the whole of last summer of course!

Another lousy day - counterbalance to the SW!

Sun? What's that! Another dismal day, cricket match off due to waterlogged
pitch, gardens all muddy - what a contrast to last year. Still some hope
for next week.

Dave,
S.Essex.

200mm of rain for 2004

west in Laindon and noticed George's values in Epping were double yours. I
take it your rain gauge ties up well with...

Interesting radar image

The 23.00 hrs UKMO radar image seems to be trying to draw a thick outline
map of the east and south east coasts! Odd looking.

Rain in Spain and snow in the Rockies

Exactly the same here in S.Essex. Only light shower though - shows what
might have been if wind had turned NE last Thursday!
